Google Calendar

Simplify. Organize. (And relax.) Organizing schedules shouldn't be a burden for your students. That's why Google Apps for Education includes Google Calendar – our free online shareable calendar service. With Google Calendar, it's easy for students to keep track of all of their important events – classes, study groups, campus events, doctor's appointments – all in one place. Using Google Calendar, students can add events effortlessly, share calendars with classmates (or keep things to themselves), view campus events side-by-side with their schedules and search the web for public events that they're interested in. It's organizing made easy.

Features

Calendar sharing: Set up a calendar of events during the academic year, and share it with the entire student body (there will be no excuse for missing that class registration deadline). Students can also share schedules with select classmates in order to better coordinate activities.

Invitations: Students can create event or meeting invitations, send them out and keep track of classmates' responses and comments, all in one place. Students' contacts can receive their invitations and post responses even if they don't use Google Calendar themselves.

Quick add: Students can click anywhere on their calendars where an event belongs (or use the Quick Add link), and start typing. Google Calendar understands whole phrases like "Lunch with adviser at Java Cafe 11am on Tuesday," and will pop new events right into their agendas.

Gmail integration: Students can add meetings to their calendars without ever leaving their Gmail inboxes. Google Apps for Education recognizes events mentioned in emails and gives students the option to directly add them to their calendars.

Search: Students can easily find the date for that upcoming football game or the study abroad application deadline. Also, students can search public calendars to discover new events they're interested in and add them to their own calendars.

Mobile access: Students can receive event reminders and notifications on their mobile phones.

Event publishing: Share your school's events with the world outside of your campus – parents, alumni, the general public. Learn more with our event publisher guide.
