The role: Account Associate, SMB Services

Reach for new revenue-generating heights as a Sales Googler. Businesses that partner with Google come in all shapes, sizes and market caps, and no one Google advertising solution works for all. Your knowledge of online media combined with your communication skills and analytical abilities shapes how new and existing business grow. You leverage your entrepreneurial drive to target, educate and persuade new customers to embrace Google's latest advertising products and technologies. Using your influencing and relationship-building skills, you provide Google-caliber client service, research and market analysis. You anticipate how decisions are made, understand the details of individual campaigns and persistently explore and uncover the business needs of your key clients. Working with them, you set the vision and the strategy for how their advertising can reach thousands of users.

As an Account Associate, you will help serve Google's North American customer base for our AdWords product. This fast-paced sales and support team quickly identifies and resolves customer concerns and contributes to the growth of our programs. Your objective is to continue to hone your account management and communication skills, supporting Google's small and medium advertisers by providing the best possible service via phone, email, and chat. Your specific responsibilities could include managing advertiser accounts, developing compelling advertising solutions for brand advertisers, prospecting new clients, or developing scalable support solutions. You will be advising clients on the best strategy for them to achieve their desired results.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide outstanding customer service and drive sales to Google's advertisers, publishers, and/or users.
  • Manage customer inquiries by phone, email, and/or live chat.
  • Reach out to well qualified leads and be comfortable calling advertisers pro-actively in a programmatic way.
  • Drive product and process innovation by collaborating with Specialists, Engineers, and Product team members.
  • Provide strategic advice and help solve technical issues by working closely in a consultative role with key clients.

Minimum qualifications:

  • BA/BS degree (In lieu of degree, 4 years relevant work experience).
  • 1 year of account management or client service experience.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Penchant for customer service and desire to help Google users; experience with customer service and/or teaching/training.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects at a time while paying strict attention to detail.
  • Self-starter who is comfortable with a rapidly-changing environment.
  • Upbeat personality with a desire to learn online advertising.
