Geographic Information System (GIS) Engineers are the mapmakers of the 21st century. Working with massive data sets, you write scripts to process, compress and analyze imagery and vector data collected from the air, land and sea. With so much data coming in, you constantly develop new, more efficient ways to automate the indexing and analysis of it all. Whether it's a feed from a boat, a plane or a satellite, you shepherd data from acquisition, through analysis and all the way to publication on our maps platforms to wow our users and help them find their way with ever-improving maps of our world.
