Operations Technician Assistant (Temporary to Hire)

This position is based in Berkeley County, SC.

The role: Operations Technician Assistant (Temporary to Hire)

As an Operations Technician Assistant (OTA) you will work alongside Operations Technicians in installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining servers, networking equipment, cabling. This can sometimes be a physically demanding job. OTA's will also expand their basic knowledge and experience working computers and related equipment.

Responsibilities:

• Fix broken servers (replace hard drives, replace bad sticks of RAM, etc.).
• Crimp and run datacenter cabling.
• Learn and apply diagnostic methods to troubleshoot datacenter equipment.
• Move and rack equipment.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Basic knowledge of and hands on experience with computer hardware.
• Safely lift and move at least 50lbs.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Hands on experience in Linux
• Ability to learn new software quickly
• Work independently or as part of a team, and ensure tasks are completed correctly and quickly.
• Candidate must be flexible on hours; weekend and/or shift work will be required.
