The Google Technical Services (gTech) team serves as the primary point of contact for our global Sales, Business Development, and Partnerships teams to support our sales organization across all products. We provide tools so that our sales teams can focus on generating revenue and leverage our strong relationships with Googles Tech teams to enable our sales organization to do multi-solution selling, launch and support new products, and help and engage our users.

The role: DFA Customer Solutions Consultant

The DoubleClick for Advertisers (DFA) Customer Solutions Consultant works both remotely and by ~40% on-site travel with media-agencies and marketers on a variety of product related projects. The role is responsible for technical Pre-Sales, Product implementation and training, consulting, project and escalation management and custom development to provide the critical link between business needs and solutions from the Google Media Platforms suite in the EMEA region. This means to work closely with and maintain an extremely positive relationship with Sales personnel and technical account management. The role is very customer focused and requires the ability to grasp technical issues and their impact on sales opportunities and existing client-base.

Responsibilities:

  • Scope and collect customer requirements, provide guidance on best practices and applying technology and product knowledge to address customer's business and technology needs.
  • Oversee the project through the complete life-cycle including scoping, planning, execution, implementation/rollout, and close. Lead all aspects of project delivery including, but not limited to, project scope, deliverables, estimates, quality, detailed project plans and change requests.
  • Collaborate with program manager or lead efforts to monitor project activities and tracking progress against plan to ensure committed deliverables are met. Identify delays, budget or technical quality concerns so they can be proactively addressed.
  • Contribute to multiple projects which may include matrix management and management of contractor/insourcing /outsourcing. Ensure project team, internal management and external customers are provided with appropriate, timely and accurate project information and status updates.

Minimum qualifications:

  • BA/BS degree (In lieu of degree, relevant skills or equivalent experience).

Preferred qualifications:

  • MBA.
  • Technical sales or field sales experience (sales engineering or consulting experience) with strong written skills and project management skills in Online Advertising or Online Marketing Industry.
  • Understanding of hardware and software concepts, especially Web-development languages and concept. Ability to speak directly to technical teams and provide network architecture layout based on DoubleClick solutions’ performance needs.
  • A strong background in technology, experience with Internet Protocols, Sales, Systems Information Management, and Systems Design, including experience in consultative selling or solution based sales.
  • Must be available to travel up to 40% of the time.
  • Fluent in Spanish and English.
