The area: New Products, Media and Platforms

The New Products, Media and Platforms (NPMP) group is the link between Product and Sales at Google. NPMP helps take product innovations and turns them into client solutions that enable our customers to get the most out of their spend with Google. NPMP team members ensure we have the right commercial strategy for our products and bring product expertise to Sales, enabling front-line Sales partners to sell effectively and quickly. The role: Account Solutions Specialist

Reach for new revenue-generating heights as a Sales Googler. Businesses that partner with Google come in all shapes, sizes and market caps, and no one Google advertising solution works for all. Your knowledge of online media combined with your communication skills and analytical abilities shapes how new and existing business grow. You leverage your entrepreneurial drive to target, educate and persuade new customers to embrace Google's latest advertising products and technologies. Using your influencing and relationship-building skills, you provide Google-caliber client service, research and market analysis. You anticipate how decisions are made, understand the details of individual campaigns and persistently explore and uncover the business needs of your key clients. Working with them, you set the vision and the strategy for how their advertising can reach thousands of users.

Google's Advertising Sales teams are devoted to finding innovative, relevant solutions to address our clients' diverse advertising needs. Our group, The Zoo, is a single, agency-like department servicing Large Customer Sales teams and their agencies & clients. Our team includes a account solutions, project management, interactive solutions, strategic initiatives, engagement programs development, and creative innovation; linked, resourced and systematically scheduled by a dedicated operations team. The Zoo resides within Google’s Large Customer Sales division but collaborates across departments and functions to provide concepts, ideas and partner programs that take advantage of the myriad creative, content and innovative possibilities that are part of Google’s core offering. We form partnerships with advertisers and agencies to help build brands online. We connect advertisers' brand messages to their target audience through creative, innovative, and accountable digital marketing solutions. The Account Solutions Specialist reports to the Account Solutions Group Manager. As an Account Solutions team member, you’ll work within a team of digital creative & content program specialists to develop innovative marketing programs for display advertisers on YouTube and Google properties. The solutions you develop will align and exceed with advertisers’ objectives and expectations. You will focus on creative solutions that build brands and connect them to specific content & audience targets on YouTube and Google properties. The role primarily supports display campaigns in response to RFP’s (requests for proposals) and client-specific thought leadership. You're a hands-on self-starter with excellent communications and project management skills - someone who leads by example. You're able to manage and prioritize multiple projects effectively on deadline and you understand how to translate and communicate ideas and strategies into concepts and programs that drive revenue for Google & YouTube.

Responsibilities:

  • Create bespoke engagement program concepts and solutions for top brands in collaboration with LCS teams.
  • Serve as subject matter expert on YouTube/Google Display platform creative capabilities for advertiser- specific projects.
  • Project manage advertiser RFP responses including visuals, narratives, positioning and deal structure elements for assigned accounts.
  • Develop creative use cases for digital technologies & Google platform capabilities in conjunction with supporting media strategies. Internally vet creative and technology concepts to ensure feasibility within Google.
  • Support sales by attending client/agency meetings to present Zoo-created concepts. Manage external vendor relationships to support pre-sales advertiser program development.

Minimum qualifications:

  • BA/BS degree. In lieu of education, 4 years of relevant experience.
  • 8 years of experience in media and marketing at an agency or media company; ad sales experience.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Advanced working knowledge of digital media trends and strategies, with an emphasis on social media.
  • Ability to work well with multiple stakeholders & personalities and deliver against deadlines.
  • Understanding of how to build, customize and sell sponsorship programs.
