The area: Large Customer Sales (LCS)

The regional Large Customer Sales (LCS) teams partner closely with our major advertising clients and agencies to develop digital solutions that build our clients' businesses and brands. We are in a unique and exciting position to shape how marketing and business is conducted in the digital age. We generate revenue from across Google's broad range of solutions, from Google AdWords, to YouTube, to Mobile, that help our customers connect instantly and seamlessly with their audiences and get the most out of the web.

The role: Account Manager, Education

Reach for new revenue-generating heights as a Sales Googler. Businesses that partner with Google come in all shapes, sizes and market caps, and no one Google advertising solution works for all. Your knowledge of online media combined with your communication skills and analytical abilities shapes how new and existing business grow. You leverage your entrepreneurial drive to target, educate and persuade new customers to embrace Google's latest advertising products and technologies. Using your influencing and relationship-building skills, you provide Google-caliber client service, research and market analysis. You anticipate how decisions are made, understand the details of individual campaigns and persistently explore and uncover the business needs of your key clients. Working with them, you set the vision and the strategy for how their advertising can reach thousands of users.

You'll be managing relationships with direct clients and via agency partners in the Education Industry, covering Higher Education and Vocational providers. This vertical is one of the fastest growing verticals for Google Australia. The growth and pace of change in the sector means you need to be a focused, proactive self-starter, able to multitask in a fast-paced environment, and sales focused to help expand the client relationship. Additionally, you're an advisor and consultant, as well as a client advocate within Google. Above all, you'll be responsible for hitting our quarterly revenue targets.

Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain key relationships and serve as a trusted media consultant with assigned client / agency accounts.
  • Up-sell and/or cross-sell directly to assigned client accounts to optimize their advertising expenditure.
  • Analyse and manage data to prepare and deliver sales pitches and sales presentations directly to clients or agencies that optimise the market potential for a client.
  • Discover client needs by consultation, relationship building and industry / account analysis.
  • Achieve sales quota for assigned client accounts.

Minimum qualifications:

  • BA/BS degree (In lieu of degree, 4 years relevant work experience).
  • 4 years experience within the Online & Media Industry (client or agency).

Preferred qualifications:

  • Deep knowledge Google's core products and internal tools, already solid experience with more complex tools and products including display.
  • Strong account management and client service experience.
  • Proven skills in analyzing large quantities of data, making recommendations and offering strategic consultation.
  • Very good knowledge of online media for search; display; social; etc. Understanding of market size; trends and challenges and existing players and competitive positioning/ business models.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in order to communicate within the team and internal departments / clients and to work in a fast-paced, constantly-evolving team environment.
  • Strong project management and presentation skills.
