The area: Large Customer Sales

The regional Large Customer Sales (LCS) teams partner closely with our major advertising clients and agencies to develop digital solutions that build our clients' businesses and brands. We are in a unique and exciting position to shape how marketing and business is conducted in the digital age. We provide consultancy services across Google's broad range of solutions, from Google AdWords, to YouTube, to Mobile, that help our customers connect instantly and seamlessly with their audiences and get the most out of the web.

The role: Industry Head (Multi-Sector) - Vienna

Actively help grow customer business as a sales Googler. Businesses that partner with Google come in all shapes, sizes and market caps, and no one Google advertising solution works for all. Your knowledge of online media combined with your communication skills and analytical abilities shapes how new and existing business grows. You leverage your entrepreneurial drive to target, educate and persuade new customers to embrace Google's latest advertising products and technologies. Using your influencing and relationship-building skills, you provide Google-caliber client service, research and market analysis. You anticipate how decisions are made, understand the details of individual campaigns and persistently explore and uncover the business needs of your key clients. Working with them, you set the vision and the strategy for how their advertising can reach thousands of users.

As Industry Head, you will be driving Google's business with strategic accounts in several industries. Armed with deep knowledge of Google's products, industry knowledge, marketing trends and individual client needs, you will lead Google's relationship with our most important advertisers in Austria and internationally. This sales role requires a combination of strong analytical, creative and relationship building skills. You'll meet client marketers, agency planners and build relationships at every level to help drive Google's business in the short and long-term. You will use our global knowledge base to identify growth potential, share best practices and drive growth. You'll build compelling sales presentations which engage and excite your clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop the vision and strategy that will fully unlock the potential in each industry.
  • Build and maintain C-level relationships with Google’s most important clients and relevant agency contacts.
  • Evangelize Google, particularly at targeted events, conferences and media opportunities.
  • Provide leadership, inspiration and motivation to a growing team, including setting clear and prioritised goals to drive revenue.
  • Develop a deep understanding of the business needs of your advertisers and insights into consumer behavior.

Minimum qualifications:

  • BA/BS degree (In lieu of degree, relevant skills or equivalent experience).
  • Substantial experience in advertising sales/marketing and sales management
  • Proven team management experience
  • Fluency in German and English
  • Willingness to travel across EMEA on a regular basis.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Proven record of strategic development of Austria’s Top 100 companies client base and ability to persuade and influence at C-level.
  • Established network of relationships within one or more industry sectors in Austria, preferable Banking, Insurance, Media-Entertainment, Retail
  • Proven success in managing complex, international projects and business development.
  • A deep understanding of the industry's issues, a vision for its growth, and a commitment to advance Google's forward-looking strategies within the marketplace.
