What are Product Listing Ads?
Product Listing Ads are AdWords ads that include rich product information, such
as product image, price, and merchant name. Whenever a user enters a search query
relevant to an item in your Merchant Center account, Google will automatically
show the most relevant products along with the associated image, price and
product name.
To create Product Listing Ads, you’ll need to have an AdWords account and a
Merchant Center account. If you don’t have an AdWords account, you can sign up at
google.com/adwords. If you don't already
have a Merchant Center account, get started at google.com/merchants.
Where do Product Listing Ads appear?
Your Product Listing Ads are eligible to appear on both Google Search and Google
Shopping, across computers, tablets and smartphones. Whenever a user enters a
search query relevant to an item you sell, Google will automatically show the
most relevant Product Listing Ads, which include the associated image, price,
product name and more.
How much do Product Listing Ads cost?
Clicks on Product Listing Ads are charged on a cost-per-click (CPC) basis, or
conversion-focused cost-per-acquisition (CPA) percentage basis (select
participants in the US only). Since product listings don't use keywords, you'll
use attributes in your Merchant Center product feed to define product targets.
