- Nearly 45 percent of consumers reported purchasing CDs, DVDs, video games, or books during the peak of last holiday season, making entertainment the second most popular category for online and offline purchases after apparel.1
- Consumers begin their holiday shopping early. 50 percent of Internet users report beginning their shopping in October, and another 32 percent begin in November. Only 18 percent wait until December to get started.2
