WHAT IS LA GIRAUDIERE AND WHAT IS HAPPENING THERE?
La Giraudiere a typical stone built chaertaise masters house and was owned by the family Giraud. The family moved away some years ago and the property fell into disrepair. In 1997 Myself, two of my brothers and a friend formed a French property company and decided to purchase and restore La Giraudiere with the idea of putting together a small tourist complex. The path with the French authorities as been long but at last we have everything in place for the go ahead.
Upon completion of the first stage, La Giraudiere will accommodate 40+ persons and will have a bar, restaurant and leisure facilities. Presently we have 3 apartments or gites complete which would be the accommodation for the group.

WHO CAN APPLY?
Anyone over the age of 18 years who can prove that they can help make La Giraudiere come to life. Practical, clerical, and whatever trade or skill you have if you think you could contribute towards this scheme then come and see us.
I am not worried about Age students come and bring some new life into La Giraudiere Over 50 come and contribute your experience to La Giraudiere

| WHAT IF I ONLY WANT TO WORK TWO DAYS A WEEK?
It is simple and the whole scheme is very flexible. To stay in the south west France region with accommodation and full board would normally start at about 60 euros per day. So ok La Giraudiere estate is not finished but the accommodation is finished and very comfortable and three meals a day will be served. So if you would prefer to work 2 days and have 5 off then you pay the additional 60 euros so your week would cost 150 euros and you would have the 5 days off. Great work the week-end and have the week off 5 days to explore France and this fabulous region.

| WHY ARE WE MAKING THIS OFFER?
La Giraudiere is only 40% complete and there is still a lot of work needed to be done. Apart from the construction work there is also the marketing of the project which again as started but needs further attention and ideas.
I am here in south west France and have been for the last five years struggling every step of the way to put this project in place.
The battle with the French Authorities and the administration as been long and exhausting both on myself and the finances of the project.
Marketing as started with our website and we have just made live our golf tours in the region although, at this time, we will not be using La Giraudiere for the accommodation. So what we offer is a partnership your give us 3 days help and 90 euros and in return you get an additional 4 days full bed and board and the freedom to discover this region.

HOW MANY PEOPLE CAN APPLY?
Presently I have 3 apartments which amounts to 8 bedrooms so any number from 1 to 8 can apply. More if you are willing to share a bedroom. There are 3 showers and wash rooms one in each of the apartments and there are 3 kitchens. The whole complex is situated in a two and half acre park so plenty of space to chill out.

| WHERE IS LA GIRAUDIERE?
1 km from the village Brossac and Brossac is within the Charente department which is in South West France. The nearest Route National is 18km away and is the RN10 the nearest town is 10 km and that is Chalais where there is also a train station. The nearest TGV station is Angouleme which is the capital of Charente. The nearest airports are Bordeaux, Angouleme, Bergerac, La Rochelle and Royan.
