After my research on the web, I found very useful tips for increasing authority and popularity on Technorati site. Also, I found many good blogs which give me a lot of information about this subject. I summarize the most important information in this post. I hope that these tips will be used by bloggers and web publishers and will help everyone which will use these tips for their blogs/web sites.
1. Don’t Use Wordpress as a Host. Use Blogger as a blog hosting service (my opinion). I use Blogger - started at December 2007 and until today, my authority on Technorati grew to 166.
Some bloggers prefer to use Wordpress as a Host. But this does not work for me.
2. Participate in the Technorati Favorite Exchange. Click here to add me at your favorite blogs. I will add you, at my favorite blog list as soon as possible.
3. Use Technorati Tags in each of your blog posts. This will definitely help to Technorati to index your blog posts.
4. Make your Technorati Tags relevant to your blog post as possible.
5. Use Tag generator for creating Technorati tags for your blog posts. Use Ukion tag generator. It is FREE visual web tool for generation of tags and links to Technorati. Try it HERE.
6. Increase Technorati Authority. Technorati authority will increase then your link is added to other blogs or web pages. You can increase your Technorati Authority with participating at Big Bang Master List - social blogging activities.
7. Ping Technorati after every your new post to inform Technorati that you have new content on your blog/website.
8. Claim Your Blogs after signing up for Technorati (each of your blogs).
9. Good descriptions of your blog can help of increasing your Technorati popularity. Upload a photo and add a little paragraph description what your blog is all about.
10. Only for Technorati Risk Takers: Add everyone on Technorati Most Popular list to your favorites. Some of you may not agree with this, but this really helps. The top favorites get a lot of attention from the blogosphere.
