Date: 5 July 2009 (Sunday)
Time: 3:00 - 5:00 p.m.
Place: Yankee Hill Beach, French River, PEI
Surf's Up! It's beach party time! Rock-hard bodies, bikini hotties, and the rest of us.
Bob Marley & the Wailers and the Beach Boy's will be laying down tracks, so dig out your coolest Island beach garb, grab your cooler and grub, and come out for some sun, sand and surf! Pack a picnic lunch and come on down to one of our Island's little gems of a beach and celebrate summer with fellow Island cachers.
While you're at it, grab one of the nearby 6 caches (traditionals, mystery, virtual and earthcache) within 300m, and explore the totally amazing Yankee Hill Cemetery (home to a spooky "Night" cache)! A total of 10 caches can be found within 2 km of the beach.
Prizes will be given for the funkiest tropical shirt and beach towel! We'll also have an island/beach-themed "track-log art" competition as introduced at the "Red Snirt Festival". Palm tree? Surf board? Or, will PeteMoss spell out "Cowabunga"?
Pleeease, no Speedos!!
