Networks show and tell

Continuing the tradition started by Prof. Jerry Davis last year, we will be coming together to share our interest in networks in our first informal meeting of the semester:

Thurs. 9/21
12-1:30pm
West Hall 3076 (in the connector between West Hall and Shapiro)

Please bring yourselves and (optionally) a network you've been fascinated by or working with. We'll look at pretty pictures, figure out what we all mean by 'network', and just to break the ice, Mick McQuaid and Lada Adamic will briefly talk about a network analysis we did of the class enrollment data at the School of Information.

This will also be the start of our bi-weekly reading group, where we'll be discussing recent papers (though this time around we'll just be discussing discussing papers).

If you think you may be coming, please send an email so that we can plan food. If you forget to send email, please still join us.
