Colonel Peter (Duke) DeLuca is an Army combat engineer who, as the Assistant
Chief of Staff, Engineer (CJ-7) on the Multi-National Security Transition Command, managed a construction program with $2 Billion in execution and $1 Billion in additional planned requirements (funded in June 2005) to support the creation and effectiveness of the emerging Iraqi Security Forces.
COL DeLuca commanded the 326th Engineer Battalion (Air Assault) and was
the Division Engineer for the 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault)
with all or some of his command deployed in combat operations in Kosovo
in 2001, Afghanistan in 2001 and 2002, and in Iraq in 2003. COL DeLuca
is a Eurasian foreign area officer and a graduate of the Defense Language Institute’s
Russian course. COL DeLuca is an Army Strategist, a Joint Specialty
Officer, and a graduate of the US Army’s Command and General Staff
College. He holds bachelor’s degrees in mechanical engineering and
economics from the University of Pennsylvania and a master’s degree in
international affairs from Columbia University, and completed a senior
service college fellowship at Harvard University's John F. Kennedy
School of Government.
