Abstract: Within the formalism of generalized geometry there is the notion of generalized holomorphic bundle over a generalized complex manifold, due to Gualtieri. When the underlying manifold is just an ordinary complex manifold, this gives not just an ordinary holomorphic bundle, but also a holomorphic Higgs field (taking values in the tangent bundle rather than the cotangent bundle as in Simpson's definition). As with all geometrical objects in this framework there is an action of closed 2-forms, and we study the action of closed (1,1) forms on the moduli space, and also the notion of spectral variety when the holomorphic structure is twisted by a 3-form.
