Slow Track Students start Reading.

Students start to research for their next solo pieces by using the new Distance Learning Programme. They present their ideas at the 1st Meeting of the Term on 18th September.

The Distance Learning Programme provides a method of research essential to and based on the practice of making new work. This approach to study makes each puppetry student a practice-based researcher enabling them to extend the ambition of their work as performers.

The aim of this type of research is to enable students to:
understand critical ideas and subject their work to robust scrutiny; experiment with new contexts within the arts, science and society leading to fresh artistic insights;
develop sharpened focus and purpose for their work by means of a research-driven attitude of scepticism and enquiry;
