DOWNLOADING VIDEOS AND BURNING DVDs

  1. Identify the videos you want
Tip: to search for videos with a certain label (like 'K-3 Math'), type:
_label:"K-3 Math"_ into the search bow

  2. Download the video
Each video playback page contains a link to download the video to your computer.  In the drop-down menu list for the download version, select Video iPod. This will download it in a format that you can use with iDVD or iMovie.

Tip: If you simply want to play the video on your computer (and not burn it to DVD), download the 'Windows/Mac' version and play it using the Google Video player.

  3. Burn the DVD
When you've finished downloading all the videos you want to use, open iDVD on your DVD-burning Macintosh, import the selected video files into iDVD, and burn your DVD. You'll now be able to play this DVD in any DVD player.

Tip: Distribute a list of the videos to your students (with URLs) so they can watch the videos again later; Google PageCreator or Blogger allow you to easily set up pages with links to this content.

UPLOADING YOUR VIDEOS
Sharing your own videos with Google Video is easy

  1. Identify contents to upload
Your first step should be to identify the content that you want to
make available – whether lessons, your lectures, or other educator
    videos.

  2. Use Google Video Upload
At this point, you should use the Google Video Upload Program at
http://video.google.com/videouploadform, where you will be able to
electronically submit videos and the associated metadata for rapid
inclusion in the Google Video index. -Uploading videos is as easy as
attaching a file to an email message. Please note that for files
larger than 100 megabytes, you should follow the instructions on the
site for using the uploader application.

  3. Enter a title, categories, etc.
After uploading, you have full control over your video: you enter a
video's metadata yourself (a title, categories, descriptions, etc),
and can delete it from our index at any time. You can also see how
many times each video has been viewed and downloaded.
If you have too many videos to submit through the Google Uploader,
you can contact us by visiting https://services.google.com/inquiry/video.
