"Fat Brain Toys, an online retailer of specialty toys and gifts, has featured home-grown search functionality from our inception nearly three years ago. It worked great for customers searching for single word products like "geomag", but with the pervasiveness of search, our customers became increasingly more savvy with their own querying capabilities. Over the last two years we started to see more and more instances of customers entering complex search phrases into our product search engine such as "magnetic geomag sets on sale". "First started using Google search on MediaWiki software because the built-in search was very weak. I first integrated a small Google SA with MediaWiki so that the search was totally seemless. Iphos provides innovative software and e-business solutions for a wide range of clients. One of them is the Allianz Group, one of the world's leading insurers and financial services providers. We have been working with their Austrian websites for several years.

The main problem with the previous search tool on their sites was that the information is stored in many different places on various servers and systems, which made it difficult to provide a comprehensive, and cost-effective search across the network.
