Alaska Air Group Inc. reported "record" first-quarter earnings, including adjusted net income of $44 million, or 62 cents per diluted share, which compares with $28 million, or 39 cents a share, a year earlier, better than analysts' expectations.
Alaska Air Group, Inc.(NYSE:ALK) shares jumped 5.45% and closed at $66.15. The company on May 3 said its April traffic rose 8.5 percent on a combined basis, which included its subsidiaries, Alaska Airlines and Horizon Air.
