Description

Northern Shield Resources Inc. is a junior mining company primarily engaged in the exploration of platinum group element (PGE) and associated metals in Canada. During the year ended December 31, 2009, the Company earned a 50% interest in East West Resource Corporation�s Max property located 60 kilometer southwest of Highbank. The Max property will be explored under a 50/50 joint venture, with Northern Shield being the operator. During 2009, the Company also acquired a new PGE prospect near Radisson, Quebec. The property covers an eight kilometer section of a 20 kilometer long peridotite dyke that is prospective for PGEs. Northern Shield�s Highbank Lake property consists of 114 claims (1,662 units) covering an area of 266 square kilometers and is located in the western James Bay Lowlands of northern Ontario. The property covers a portion of the Highbank Igneous Complex.
