The New Ireland Fund, Inc. (the Fund) is a non-diversified, closed-end management investment company. The Fund's investment objective is long-term capital appreciation through investment, primarily in equity securities of Irish companies. The Fund invests at least 80% of its total assets in equity and fixed-income securities of Irish companies. The Fund may invest up to 25% of its assets in equity securities that are not listed on any securities exchange. It invests in various sectors, including construction and building materials, food and beverages, transportation, healthcare services, business services, agriculture operations, diversified financial services and leisure and hotels. The Fund�s investment advisor is Bank of Ireland Asset Management (U.S.) Limited, which is a indirect wholly owned subsidiary of The Governor and Company of the Bank of Ireland.
