Transamerica Life Insurance Company (TALIC) gives its American touch to Dutch insurance giant AEGON's life insurance operations. TALIC, which began operations in 1961, is part of the AEGON USA group of companies. The company provides individual and group life insurance and annuities, as well as accident and health insurance (including supplemental Medicare, long-term care, and illness coverage). The company is licensed to provide insurance in all US states except New York, and in Washington DC. Its products are distributed through agents and brokers, as well as via direct marketing efforts.
