The flagship facility of the Baystate Health System, Baystate Medical Center is a tertiary care facility and Level 1 trauma center, providing comprehensive acute care services to residents of Springfield, Massachusetts, and the surrounding region. The 650-bed medical center is also a teaching hospital, serving as a secondary campus for Tufts University School of Medicine. The facility includes Baystate Children's Hospital, a 110-bed unit featuring neonatal and pediatric ICUs. Other operations include specialty programs in radiology, cardiac care, cancer, and behavioral health.
