Jocks hit the books at The United States Sports Academy. The not-for-profit school offers bachelor's and graduate programs in sports-related fields. Course offerings include history of sports, public relations, law, and ethics classes. It offers master's degrees in management, sport medicine, coaching, and recreation and fitness management, as well as doctorates in sports management. Many of the school's courses are delivered online. The academy was founded in 1972 after an American study showed a correlation between high school athletic injuries and coaches who were poorly educated in physical education and sports.
