Chartis is charting a new course for its reemerging parent, AIG. Formed in 2009 in the wake of AIG's financial implosion, Chartis is AIG's property/casualty arm, serving more than 40 million commercial and personal clients in the US and abroad. The company's offerings include general liability, workers' compensation, specialty insurance, and risk management services for businesses, as well as home, auto, travel, and health and accident insurance for individuals. Chartis comprises the operations of several dozen US and international AIG property/casualty companies and offers policies and other services through various subsidiaries and affiliates.
