Romacorp operates and franchises about 200 Tony Roma's casual dining locations in more than 15 states and more than 30 other countries. The restaurants are popular for their baby back ribs and other beef and barbeque entrees. The eateries also serve chicken and seafood dishes, as well as burgers, sandwiches, and salads and a hearty menu of appetizers. Most of Romacorp's restaurants are located outside the US; about 20 locations are company-owned. The late Tony Roma opened his first barbecue restaurant in North Miami in 1972.
