College of The Holy Cross has some real Crusaders. The Jesuit-founded college, with sports teams nicknamed the Crusaders, is a liberal arts undergraduate institution in central Massachusetts with more than 2,900 students. Some of the school's more popular areas of study include liberal arts' favorites such as English, history, and political science, but also multidisciplinary concentrations and specialty programs including biochemistry, Latin American studies, and women's studies. The co-educational school has more than 300 full- and part-time faculty, with a 10:1 student-to-faculty ratio. Holy Cross is the oldest Catholic college in New England.
