It's the parent of Alaron Futures and Options, a Futures Commission Merchant (FCM) that provides discount and full-service futures and options brokerage and managed futures accounts. The company's Futures Training division offers online tutorials and other tools to help customers understand futures trading. Alaron is a clearing member of the Chicago Mercantile Exchange. In 2009 the company sold its customer accounts to fellow futures trader Peregrine Financial Group (aka PFGBEST) and now operates as a division of that firm. The Greenberg family, including family patriarch and longtime hog belly trader Joel, started Alaron in 1989.
