Insl-X Products makes a diverse range of coatings that are marketed throughout the US via a network of distribution warehouses. The company manufactures industrial and architectural paints for customers including professional contractors, distribution companies, and retail consumers. It also makes specialty coatings and paints for floors, sports courts, swimming pools, and traffic markings. Insl-X's brands include Aqua Lock, Hot Trax, Insl-Thane, and Sure Step; it also operates through subsidiaries Coronado Paint and Bruning Paint. Insl-X manufactures its products from four locations in the US. In 2008, president and owner James Weil sold Insl-X to Berkshire Hathaway's paint company, Benjamin Moore.
