Nomura International is the UK-based subsidiary of Japan's Nomura Holdings. The company provides securities dealing, investment banking, corporate finance, and asset management services for individual, institutional, corporate, and government customers. It also makes private equity and venture capital investments in technology and life sciences firms. Nomura International is based in London, but also operates in about a dozen other European and Middle Eastern countries. Following parent Nomura Holdings' acquisition of the Asian investment banking operations from Lehman Brothers, Nomura International acqiured the bankrupt investment firm's European and Middle Eastern operations.
