Its belts don't hold up pants, but The Belting Company of Cincinnati does keep businesses moving. Better known as Cincinnati Belting and Transmission (CBT), the company distributes belting and conveyor components, power transmission, pneumatics, and electrical supplies. Products are used on bottling equipment, bakery conveyors, printing presses, and washing systems. CBT has joined the going green effort by supplying energy assessments and upgrades. Besides energy services, CBT provides such client services as asset and lifecycle management, condition monitoring, repair, security, and training. Founded in 1921, president and owner James Stahl Jr. bought CBT in 1975.
