Eastern Maine Healthcare Systems (EMHS) keeps the folks in the Pine Tree State feeling fine. With more than a dozen member hospitals and multiple medical practices and clinics, the organization offers patients emergency, primary, mental-health, laboratory, and other specialty services. It primarily serves eastern, central, and northern portions of rural Maine. Some hospitals include Eastern Maine Medical Center (410 beds), Acadia Hospital (100 beds), Aroostook Medical Center (75 beds), and Inland Hospital (50 beds). The system also operates long-term care, hospice, and home health facilities, as well as emergency transportation and administrative services businesses.
