Necessity was the mother of invention for Starving Students Inc. Founder and chairman Ethan Margalith started a local moving business in 1973 to fund his ramen purchases and college tuition. Miles of smiles later, the company now handles moves throughout the US for more than 60,000 families annually. Starving Students handles local and long-distance moves and offers its customers options that include packing and loading all of the customer's belongings or loading already packed belongings. The company also offers shipping services, moving boxes, and such supplies as packing paper, labels, tape, bubble wrap, and markers.
