The firm was founded in 1993 by Don Peppers and Martha Rogers, who coined the phrase "one-to-one marketing" in a series of business books, and its periodicals and newsletters keep up with current developments in customer strategy. In late 2010, call center operator TeleTech Holdings bought a majority stake in Peppers & Rogers.
