Evergreen Investment Management (Evergreen Investments for short) manages about 75 stock, bond, and money market mutual funds for more than three million individual and institutional investors. In addition, the company offers alternative investments (hedge funds, private equity, real estate), closed-end funds, separately managed accounts, customized portfolios, IRAs, variable annuities, and financial advisory services. Evergreen's former parent, Wachovia, was bought by banking giant Wells Fargo in 2008. It has more than $160 billion of assets under management.
