The Company operates in three business segments: Bananas, Salads and Healthy Snacks, and Other Produce. Bananas includes the sourcing (purchase and production), transportation, marketing and distribution of bananas. Salads and Healthy Snacks includes ready-to-eat, packaged salads, such as healthy snacking products, fresh vegetable and fruit ingredients used in food service, processed fruit ingredient products and an equity-method investment, which sells Chiquita-branded fruit smoothies in Europe. Other Produce, which includes the sourcing, marketing and distribution of whole fresh fruits and vegetables other than bananas.
