Omneon helps broadcasters keep viewers turned on and tuned in. The company's media storage servers, networking equipment, and software provide TV broadcasters with a single system to digitally record, play, and manage digital audio and video. Its specialized storage networking systems, marketed under the Spectrum, MediaDeck, and MediaGrid brands, are sold largely to systems integrators. It also sells directly to end users, including the BBC and Turner Entertainment. The company has customers in more than 50 countries. Omneon was acquired in 2010 by Harmonic for $273 million.
