AT&T Mobility LLC, formerly Cingular Wireless LLC, is a provider of wireless voice and data communications services in the United States. The Company provides a range of wireless services for individual, business and governmental users. Its services include Voice Service, Data Service, Postpaid Voice Service and Prepaid Voice Service. Its primary digital networks utilize Global System for Mobile Communication (GSM) technology and Time Division Multiple Access (TDMA) technology. As of December 31, 2005, 86% of its subscriber base was GSM-equipped and 95% of its total minutes were carried on its GSM network. It is jointly owned and controlled by BellSouth Corporation (BellSouth) and AT&T Inc. (AT&T). On December 29, 2006, AT&T acquired BellSouth, whereby BellSouth became a wholly owned subsidiary of AT&T, and the Company became a wholly owned indirect subsidiary of AT&T.
