AMC Entertainment Inc. (AMCE) is a theatrical exhibition company. The Company's principal directly owned subsidiaries include American Multi-Cinema, Inc. (AMC) and AMC Entertainment International, Inc. (AMCEI). AMCE owns, operates or has interests in theatres located in the United States, Canada, China (Hong Kong), France and the United Kingdom. The Company's theatrical exhibition business is conducted through AMC and its subsidiaries and AMCEI. As of April 2, 2009, it owned, operated or held interests in 307 theatres with a total of 4,612 screens, approximately 99% of which were located in the United States and Canada.
