Description

Virgin Mobile USA, Inc. is a provider of wireless communications services, offering prepaid services and postpaid services targeted at the youth market. The Company’s voice and data plans allow its customers to talk, use text messaging, picture messaging, e-mail and instant messaging on a per usage basis or according to the terms of its monthly hybrid plans. As of December 31, 2008, it served approximately 5.4 million customers (including Helio customers). The Company primarily focuses on wireless consumers who use 200 to 1,000 minutes per month. The Company provides its services using the nationwide Sprint PCS network. The Company offers a range of products and services, such as voice services, data services, handsets and Virgin Mobile Sugar Mama. The Company holds exclusive rights to use the Virgin Mobile brand for mobile voice and data services in the United States, Puerto Rico and the United States Virgin Islands through its trademark license agreement with the Virgin Group.
