Limoneira Company is an agriculture and real estate development company based in Santa Paula, California. The Company�s operations consist of fruit production and marketing, real estate development and capital investment activities. In addition to growing lemons and avocados, it grows oranges and a variety of other specialty citrus and other crops. It operates three segments: agriculture, rental operations, and real estate development. The agriculture segment includes its farming and lemon packing operations. The rental operations segment includes housing, organic recycling, commercial and leased land operations. The real estate development segment includes real estate projects and development. Effective November 1, 2010, it terminated the Sunkist License Agreement and began to market and sell its lemons to its food service, wholesale and retail customers throughout North America, Asia, Australia and certain other countries. In April 2012, the Company purchased a citrus orchard.
