Folks in need of medical care in Boston or around the world can have those needs met at Brigham and Women's Hospital. The Harvard-affiliated facility has some 780 beds and includes the Dana-Farber/Brigham and Women's Cancer Center, a partnership between the hospital and the Dana Farber Cancer Institute. Other specialty units focus on cardiology, neurology, transplants, and obstetrics. In addition to being a teaching hospital for Harvard Medical School, Brigham and Women's Hospital conducts research and clinical trials to help further medical care. It's a top recipient of research grants from the National Institutes of Health. Brigham and Women's Hospital is a founding member of the Partners HealthCare System.
