Hearts (and all other parts of the body) are sacred to Sacred Heart Hospital of Allentown. The acute care facility has some 230 beds and serves the residents of Pennsylvania's Lehigh Valley. Specialty services include pediatrics, cardiology, obstetrics, weight-loss surgery, orthopedics, behavioral health, and cancer treatment. Sacred Heart Hospital is part of the Sacred Heart Health System, which also operates more than a dozen family practice clinics, as well as specialty clinics, long-term care facilities, and imaging and rehabilitation centers. The hospital was founded by the Missionary Sisters of the Most Sacred Heart (a Catholic religious order) in 1912.
