Torstar Corporation (Torstar) is a Canada-based media and book publishing company. The Company operates in two segments: Media and Book Publishing. The Media Segment publishes four daily newspapers: the Toronto Star, The Hamilton Spectator, the Waterloo Region Record, and the Guelph Mercury. The Media Segment also publishes over 100 community newspapers in Ontario. The Company�s Media Segment includes Metroland Media Group (MMG) and Star Media Group (SMG). The Media reporting segment includes the newspaper, digital, specialty publication, consumer show, directories, television-related activities, product sales and commercial printing operations, as applicable, of Star Media Group and Metroland Media Group. The Book Publishing Segment includes Harlequin, a publisher of books for women. Harlequin sells books under several imprints including Harlequin, Harlequin MIRA, Harlequin HQN, Harlequin LUNA, Harlequin Nonfiction, Harlequin TEEN, Harlequin Kimani Press and Carina Press.
