Global Financing invests in financing assets, leverages with debt and manages the associated risks. In May 2014, it acquired Silverpop, a privately held software company. In May 2014, International Business Machines Corp acquired Cognea, a Redwood-based articial intelligence company. In June 2014, Pure Storage Inc acquired over 100 storage and related technology patents from IBM.
