NEW YORK, March 3 (Reuters) - U.S. stocks fell on Tuesday after a weak auto sales report pulled the Dow and S&P back from their latest records and the Nasdaq dipped below 5,000 the day after scaling the milestone level for the first time in 15 years.
The auto industry on Tuesday reported February sales results in the United States that were below expectations nearly across the board, with winter weather having an effect.
March 3 (Reuters) - U.S. chief executive officers are modestly more upbeat about the economy and almost half plan to increase capital spending over the next six months, a quarterly business group survey said on Tuesday.
The electronics retailer on Tuesday said its U.S. same-store sales increased for two consecutive quarters - the first time that's happened in nearly five years - and outlined plans to spend millions more to ensure it can maintain that growth rate.
