Sims Metal Management Limited (Sims), formerly Sims Group Limited, is a metals recycling company. The Company operates in Australasia, North America and Europe. Through its Sims Recycling Solutions business, Sims is engaged in the global e-recycling business, with operations in the United Kingdom, Continental Europe and North America. Its business consists of Metal Recycling, Sims Recycling Solutions and several other smaller businesses. The Metal Recycling business collects and processes ferrous and non-ferrous metals for sale to customers in domestic and international markets. The Sims Recycling Solutions (SRS) business collects and processes post-consumer products, such as televisions, radios, computers, and other electronic and electrical consumer goods. Sims also operates, or has interests in, other businesses, including manufacturing and renewable energy businesses. On July 3, 2009, Sims acquired Fairless Iron & Metal, LLC. On June 30, 2009, it disposed Tyrecycle Pty Limited.
