Description

Andean American Mining Corp. (Andean) is a Canada-based junior mining and exploration company operating in Peru. The Company is focused on early stage gold and silver prospects in Peru, and has two key assets: the Invicta gold-silver-copper advanced exploration project, and 58.48% of Sinchao Metals Corp., owner of the Sinchao polymetallic mineralization project. The Company maintains an ownership interest in various other mineral properties in Peru, including the Mamara properties and those properties adjacent to the Santa Rosa mine. As of March 31, 2009, the Company’s property portfolio comprised approximately 46,200 hectares. The Sinchao property consists of 1,300 hectares. The Invicta property comprises 41,500 hectares, of which 3,700 hectares were acquired under an option agreement from a subsidiary of Barrick Gold Corporation, Minera ABX Exploraciones S.A. The sale of El Misti Gold S.A.C. and the Santa Rosa mine was completed in June 2009.
