Description

Acergy S.A. (Acergy) is a seabed-to-surface engineering and construction contractor. The Company designs, procures, builds, installs and services a range of surface and subsurface infrastructures for the global offshore oil and gas industry. It provides services and products that add value for its clients throughout the entire life cycle of offshore oil and gas field exploration, development and production. Acergy also procures or fabricates and installs equipment used in field development. This equipment includes the above-water topsides and platforms used for processing recovered oil and gas, pipelines and electrical and hydraulic cables (umbilicals) that are used to control subsea wells. Acergy installs pipelines used to transport oil and gas underwater, as well as to the production and processing facilities at the surface. On January 9, 2009, the Company disposed its Trunkline business, which was a non-core business segment consisting solely of the Acergy Piper.
